I first learned about The Baby & Me Hub through MummyFIT, with a special discount code for MummyFIT members. I’d had it on my list for a while but assumed, like a lot of these places, that it was weekday only. When I spotted a Saturday morning session with spaces still available, I booked it on Friday night as a way to get me and baby out of the house while my partner got on with some DIY, and I’m really glad I did.

Parking
Roadside parking only, and it’s free. Park up near 2amici restaurant and walk up from there – it keeps you out of the residents-only stretch and means you don’t have to cross a busy main road with a little one
.
Pram Access
Pram access is pretty limited. You can store your pram in the cafe area but I’d leave it in the car if you can as there’s not much space.
Prices
Around £7 per session. They do occasional deals so it’s worth keeping an eye on their Instagram before you book.
The Space
The sensory lighting and activities are really lovely, and the overall atmosphere is calm and unhurried. It really feels like a sensory experience for little ones, with low lighting and colourful sensory lights that babies love. I got chatting with two other mums during the session which despite being an introvert, I really enjoyed. Nothing felt pressured, it was just calm vibes and soothing chats.

Baby Changing & Toilets
The baby changing area is easy to use and accessible to all genders. It’s separate from the adult toilet, which is worth knowing if you’re on your own and need to use both – the adult loo is quite small and it’s a squeeze to get in with a baby.

Breastfeeding
I felt completely comfortable feeding throughout, with plenty of comfy spots to sit. There’s a quiet little snug tucked away near the baby changing area if you’d like a bit more privacy.
Food & Drink
It’s not a traditional cafe but more of a ‘cake and coffee’ style setup, with a good range of drinks and absolutely divine cakes, brownies and blondies. Prices are about average, but the quality of the bakes is excellent, so I’d say great value for money. The Jammy Dodger blondie was outstanding.
There are steps in the cafe area that babies can access – there’s a gate at the top but not the bottom – so if you’ve got a crawler or a newly mobile baby and you’re on your own, you might find yourself following them around rather than sitting down. I went on my own, and had to sneak bites of my bakewell blondie inbetween chasing after my now slightly feral toddler.
The blondie was incredible, for what it’s worth.

Booking
Sessions must be booked in advance here.
They also offer private hire for birthday parties; we’ve been to one where they had guinea pigs, ducks and even a chicken!
