Despite being a meal prep queen these days with my freezer full of toddler friendly blocks, there are inevitably days where to put it politely, I can’t be arsed. I don’t want to cook, I don’t want to clean up, I don’t want to load the dishwasher. I don’t want to sweep up and mop the kitchen floor for the third time that day.
Which is usually when I bundle us into the car and head over to Morrisons for tea. Kids meals are free when you buy an adult meal worth over £5, and you get a free drink with it too. That goes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s cheap and cheerful, the kids meals aren’t exactly wholesome and homemade, but there’s protein and veg and minimal fuss.
The high chairs are easy and usually pretty clean, though they are wooden and not suitable for younger babies. It’s usually pretty quiet so pram access is not a problem, and there’s plenty of parent parking. The only negative is the baby changing, because I’ve never actually been able to use it. Every time I’ve been in the last year it’s been out of order, which isn’t great.
